Sinopse: Adam 12 era uma série de TV norte-americana centrada na ação de dois policiais de Los Angeles, da Rampart Division, com Martin Milner interpretando o veterano policial Pete Malloy, Kent McCord como o recruta Jim Reed e William Boyett como o sargento William "Mac" MacDonald.

"One Adam Twelve, One Adam Twelve" (Um Adam 12, Um Adam 12) eram as chamadas dos oficiais para um determinada ação, dirigida aos seus respectivos carros. Adam 12 era o codinome do carro utilizado pelos policiais da série. Esses procedimentos de rádio continuam a ser utilizados até hoje pela LAPD, assim como os distintivos usados nos espetáculos que eram os mesmos da LPDA, que eram emprestadas pelo Oficial do Chefe da Polícia.
